Manaakitanga

We spent some time with our buddy class today preparing for the egg hunt.  The children helped each other with colouring and shared felts and crayons.

Museum

We had a great time visiting the museum. Two of the educators told us stories/myths about how New Zealand was formed according to Maori people. The children wrote some lovely stories about the visit the next day.

Our Opinions about Fruit

We have been learning to write our opinion about fruit and which fruit we think is the best.  Here are some pictures of our writing.

SWIMMING

The children are learning some great swimming skills at Aquagym.  They are doing a wonderful job at getting changed and looking after their belongings.  Here are a few pics so far...

WRITING

Yesterday we tasted lemons and understandably had some mixed reactions.  Some children enjoyed the lemons and others thought they were disgusting and sour.  Thinking of adjectives was much easier and they included, yellow, egg shaped, smooth, sweet, sour and oval.  Some children also compared them to the pummalo.  We've had a great week using our senses and writing about our experiences.
