Camera-less Photography
After looking at photographs of Christchurch by NZ artist David Cook in his new book and exhibition Meet Me in the Square, the children explored how light travels through the lens of a camera and what the image looks like inside the camera. They discovered what the chemical reaction between light and light-sensitive paper looks like while creating a cyanotype print.

Planting Peas
One of the reading groups read a book called Growing Peas. We thought it might be fun to plant some peas using the book to follow instructions. Here are a few pics - lets see what happens.

SWIMMING
We had our first swim today with Room 15. The children showed lots of confidence in the water and had a great time on such a hot day. Hopefully the weather remains fine for a while yet.

OUR BUDDY CLASS
Today we met with our Room 20 buddy class to begin an art project. We hope to finish the activity tomorrow with all being revealed soon.
